Reading messages
After you clicked on the subject of an e-mail message in your inbox, you can read the e-mail. XS2Mail offers quite a lot advanced possibilities.- Show all headers. Normally, only the headers that you have chosen in the Preferences area. This may be the fields Date, From, To and Subject.
- Show attachments inline. When you activate this option, images and text files are shown directly under the message body. This works a lot faster than having to click on each individual attachment to see the image or text.
- View part listShows a threaded list at the bottom
of the message with detailed information on each attachment, such
as title, type, size, encoding and character set used. In some cases,
this shows attachments that usually remain invisible. Examples of this
are types multipart/alternative (which usually shows one of the alternatives,
e.g. a text version and a HTML version of the same content.),
and multipart/related (which e.g. usually shows a HTML page with
included images, where the images are not individually listed).
In the Preferences area, you can choose to automatically show the part list when a message contains multiple parts.
Furthermore, you can directly reply or forward the message from the read section. You can also jump directly to the next or previous message in the list, or delete this message.
Note also that you can configure additional things in the Preferences area.
